Graphing in Excel

  1. Open up Excel and input your data.  Highlight your data

2.  Pick Insert --> Chart to start the Chart Wizard and select Chart type XY (scatter)

3.  Select Next>

4.  Select Next> and type in the X and Y axis labels

5. Pick the Gridlines Tab and pick all gridlines

6. Pick the Legend tab and remove the legend

7.  Select Next>  Place Chart as new sheet

8.  Select Next>

9.  Right click on a data point an select Add Trendline

9.  Select Linear

10.  Select the Options Tab and check the Display equation and Display R-squared options

11.  Graph should look like this:
